Holidays Part 1!!!

Hello world!!! So I've been quite for the past few weeks because I have been abroad on holiday!!!! So for 2 weeks I went to Turkey with Dad, and then for another week I went to Mallorca with mum!!!!!! But this post (part 1) is just about my stay in Turkey!!! So I shall begin!!!

So me and my dad decided that this year we would stay in the same place as last year, and this place was Club Tokmak, there's not really much to say about it really as it's just a standard set of apartments with a bar and swimming pool! Ha not particularly interesting I must say! But here is a picture of where we stayed, it's actually one of the places you can stay that's furthest away from everything! Although to me that didn't really matter because I am not! I repeat NOT! A beach person! all that sand and salt rash from the sea water!!! Bleurgh!!! Not my thing!!! So it didn't really matter we were out of the way as most days I just read around the pool!!! Hee hee I read 8 books in those two weeks, and so I have a plan to do a blog post on a book review so hopefully everyone'll like that!!!!

So we left on the 2nd of July, our flight was at 4pm Brittish time which wasn't too bad, but then the flight takes 4 hours, and when you get there there's a 2 hour time add, so it was already 10!!! Then once you get your luggage blah di blah that can take half an hour/an hour depending on queues and if your suitcase is last! Which mine always is so I always end up having a panic attack over whether my suitcase has got lost!!! That is like such a bad nightmare of mine!!!! Cause you always take your nicest clothes on holiday and I keep thinking "wah what if I lost all my lovely clothes!" I mean I'm the girl who never throws out clothes so the thought of losing some is traumatising!!!!

So yeah after we'd got suitcases then there's an at least an hour coach transfer from the air port to Icmeler (the village we stay in!) It was like 12 o'clock by the time we got there, and everyone knows how much I like my early bed times so it was really awful!!!! I was just like *grabs pyjamas and falls into bed/fold out chair*! But then next morning I'd unpacked! So here's some photos of my room after I'd moved in!!! Ha I'd only just been there less then a day and already the whole room looks messy!!!!

Although my wardrobe was in lovely pristine condition!!! I had all my evening wear outfits on hangers and such and then all my underwear and bikinis all folded neatly along that shelf with my ugly travel bag tucked underneath!!!! Then I had my shoes all arranged beneath the wardrobe!!!! Super organised!!! although I hadn't put things in rainbow order like I do at home!!!!

Even all my books, toiletries and electronics have been organised!!!!!

So we technically arrived in Turkey on the Monday alhough our first proper day was Tuesday, nothing much happened, I factored up with factor 40 sunscreen and sat under a parasol with my book all day!!!! Naturally I have really super pale olive skin (an odd colour I know but yeah!) and so even though I have skin that can easily take English/French kinda sun with no sunscreen what so ever, even I have to be careful in Turkey at first cause it easily hits 45 degrees C each day - hee hee SHEER BLISS!!!!

So as I said! Nothing of much note to say about Tuesday!!!!! But on Wednesday the big market comes to Icmeler!!!! So I took some photos!!!! I love the market and also I think I'm pretty darn good at bartering as well so it's such good fun!!! But here's a sign that amused me!!! There's a fair few signs like this and people shouting stuff like "cheaper than asda, cheaper than primark, cheaper than netto" (I don't think anyone's informed them Netto don't dell clothes but that's beside the point ha!) So yeah it's all very lively and hustle and bustle etc!!!!

Here's one of my favourite stalls! The bag stall!!!! I'm sorry for the blurry quality of the picture!!!! I was moving about the whole time and my poor little camera couldn't keep up!!!! But yes my favourite shops!!! I love getting bags from Turkey!!! They alwaysdo such pretty ones and I'll show you the two I bought for myself later on in this post!!!! I also bought bags for Lina Bear and Haz, I didn't get pictures of them unfortunately but Lina's is a royal blue Louis Vuitton one, and Haz's is a black Dolce and Gabanna one! I haven't given them to them yet but hopefully they'll like them!!!!!!

Here's another little random stall I took a pic of selling little wooden figurines!!! There were all kinds of stalls, behind this you can see one selling Turkish belly dancing costumes! And then there's like towel stores and tee shirt stores and Nintendo stores!!! All kinds of stuff you can get and you can get it really super cheaply if you barter well!!!!

There are also food stores which sell fruit, and Turkish delight, and here you see a tea stall!!!!! All those heaps of what look like spices are actually tea!!!!! Now I am most definitely NOT a tea drinker as most of you know!!! But Turkish tea is different!!!! Firstly it's not drunk with milk. which is perfect for me seeing as I can't drink normal milk!!! Secondly it's flavoured, the most famous flavour is apple! And boy oh boy I tell you Turkish apple tea is so super yummy! I've bought a big box back with me for uni!!!!! And thirdly the Turkish population as a whole has a sweet tooth and so the tea they have is really super sweet even before you've added sugar and so I find it so delicious!!! I can never come back from Turkey without a stash of apple tea to get me through the next year!!!!!

So I lied when I said our hotel was near nothing, when the market sets up it actually backs right onto our hotel! So here's a picture I took of the market from our balcony! It stretches really far up to the left as well! But obviously I couldn't fit it all in the picture!!!! But at least this gives you an idea of what it looks like from the outside!!! Also if you look past the market you can see all there is is forest-ey mountains!!! We really are near nothing!!!!!

Then some time after that our hotel ran a BBQ with like Turkish entertainment and other entertainment and such!!!! I was really proud of my make up that night as well! I did it using three of my Barry M Dazzle Dusts, I used a yellow colour on the inner corners of my eyes, thena bright orange on the edges, and put a glittery coppercolour over the top! And then I put a yellow under my eye brows and over the orange!!!! I know I shouldn't gloat and stuff but I really do love my make up here!!! Absolutely love love love!!!!!

So the first part of the night wasn't exactly traditional Turkish, but this guy does go round to a lot of the hotels in our area and I know I shouldn't but I actually find him so cool hee hee!!! I mean OMG!!!! Please someone get me one of those suits!!! I want a flashing suit!!! And not only does it flash red!!!!!

It goes green, and yellow and blue and purple and white!!!!! Yeah! Hee hee I know I shouldn't but I just love flashing things and it was just so bright and flashey!!!! Mega love for it!!!!

After that there wasa pretty shoddy Michael Jackson impersonator!!! He couldn't even moon walk he just kinda shuffled backwards!!! Father and I were NOT impressed!!!

And then cam the actual acts that seemed Turkish and did some like traditional dancing and such!!!

And here's the belly dancer!!!! I love their outfits they're so pretty! Hee hee I have a burgundy one in one of my wardrobes somewhere!!! Although it's fairly lost! Ah well I'll dig it out some time or another!!! She got all the women up and made us dance around although she did something ina really awkward 5 beats time even though the music was in 4! T'was rather confuzzling I must say!!! Good fun though!!!!

So in the next week once I'd built my colour up a bit we went on the boat ride from Turunc (one village over) the Marmaris, (the town over on the other side from Icmeler),
I love the boat ride cause the breeze you get from going across the sea means it doesn't even feel that hot and you get some lovely views!!!! Okay admittedly I'm smiling really cheesily in this photo but hey I was really happy! Now I ask you all! Please look at that sky! Do you see a single cloud in that sky? NO! For the whole two weeks we saw not a single cloud!!!! It's such gorgeous weather the time!!! When you know you're going to Turkey for 2 weeks you know you're going to get blissful weather for two weeks! It's my absolute heaven cause everyone knows how easily I get cold!!!!

And everyone!!! Just look how blue that sea is!!! It's like something out of a film it's so gorgeous!!! It makes me want to dive in and have a swim even though I know it's all salty and icky!!!!! Just sooooo blue it's almsot hypnotic!!!! The boat ride was lovely!!!!! And then when we got to Marmaris I had a Burger King - delicious!!!!

Okay so I'm not even sure of when I took this photo!!! But my dad pointed out this really cute little lizard do I decided to get a picture, I had to sneak up on it really slowly and I have picture from further away because I thought those were all I'd get! Obviously this is mega zoomed in as I'm not quite enough to get as close as this picture makes it look like I was!!! But still! I mean look at how prettily coloured it is and it has that bright blue tail! Absolutely gorgeous though! It was as quick as a whippet though and when I took another step closer it was off like a shot down the wall!!!!

Then on the second Friday we were there, so nearly at the end of the holiday, once we'd REALLY built up some colour we went on a jeep safari!!! You have to wait till the end of the holiday cause if you go at the start you really will burn really badly! Cause you're out in an open top jeep from 9 in the morning till 6 in the evening and you don't even feel that hot cause obviously it's windy when you're driving so it is fairly dangerous for sun burn, but cause we left it till the end we were okay!!! So here was our jeep! Now usually when you go on these things in the morning you have  a massive water fight on these country roads with like water pistols and stuff wholst you're driving along, but because of Mr Cameron's double debt recession *hiss* tourism in Turkey has been down this year and we only filled one jeep this day, so obviously there was no one else to have a water fight with which was sad!!!!!

Still had a good time though!!! Our first stop was a beach! This water looked so tempting to go in but I knew I couldn't otherwise I'd get salt rash! I did dip my toes in though cause I only get salt rash above my ankles so I was okay doing this!!!

Then I had a wonder along the peer and sitting reading my book when father yelled at me and I turned around and he took a picture of me!!! I actually really like this picture with the peer and the bay and me and everything altogether I think it's rather good!!!!

Also at this beach location back in the shade there were hammocks! Omg I actually love hammocks the side to side rocking motion is so soothing!!! I can see why babies love rocking cradles!!! Omg someone should make a bed with rockers!!! Please someone make a bed with rockers!!! I honestly think when I'm a little old lady I am so having a rocking chair for deffo! So here's me in the hammock!!!

Then we had lunch! And after lunch was my fave stop of the whole trip because it was ... THE WATERFALL!!!!! I actually totally mega love the waterfall!!!! There's a fair few pictures of me here cause father's a wuss and stood up on the platform whilst I was in the waterfall! Because unlike the sea, which is trapped in a bay and directly exposed to sunlight, the waterfall is obviously constantly changing water and is also covered by trees so it's shaded so can't warm up!!! As a result it is seriously colder than the sea, ha I think the word i used was ... bracing!!! Ha it's worst when you're walking in and it's about to go over your stomach it's like "eeep! COLD!" Once I'd finally got in though I swam across to this little ledge and posed cause someone else was jumping in so I had to wait my turn!!!!

And then I swam so I could have a picture right next to the waterfall!!!!!

And here's one of me saying something to father once I was about to walk up to the jumping in ledge!!!! You can tell I was cold brrrr!! But it's so worth it, the coldness of the water is exhilerating!!!!!!

So here's a really good one dad got of me jumping in!!!! As you can see you have to be careful when jumping in cause there are rocks and stuff about and lower ledges that stick out more so you have to be careful when jumping that you make sure to jump out so you can get into the deep bit of the pool! But it was so amazing and I am an adrenaline junkie so it's always fun!!! Yeah I really love this bit of the trip it's amazing!!!!!!

So after I'd gone in the jump in-ey pool, we went up again to the next pool where part of a stream joins the main waterfall and it whooshes down these rocks!!! I deffo wanted a picture here! So here it is!!!! I'm not sat very nicely though or anything though cause it's hard to balance cause the stones have all been worn away by the water making them super slippery!!! So you have to be careful!!!!

Then before we left to go to Jesus beach I saw this little dragon fly and snapped a pic cause it was a gorgeous bright blue!!! Not the best pic, but ah well, it is the best of the ones I got! Hopefully it's good enough for you all to be able to see!!!!! So I said this was before Jesus beach!!!! Now I shall explain what Jesus beach is!!! It's this bay and across half of the bay there's a natural sand walk way and it allows you to look as if you're almost walking across water, cause it drops away either side into the deep sea, whereas the sandis only a couple of centimetres below the top of sea!!! I would have taken a pic but I forgot!!! Sorry!!! and it's fairly hard to explain as well!!!! SOWWY!!!!!!

So then we just chilled around the pool and I read again until we went home on Tuesday, apart from a trip into Marmaris for shopping at this really cool shop in the Point Centre called "Trendy" where they do a brand called Kikiriki which is only available in America and Turkey, I love this brand so whilst I'm there I always buy up cause they do such me things! It's such a me shop!!! even the calculator they use had been blinged!!!! But anyway!!! Yes back to purchases!!!!

So this was a pink bag that I bought from the market it's Louis Vuitton and was supposed to be 100 lira (the Turkish currency, roughly £35), in the end I managed to get the guy down to 40 lira so that was about £15!!!! I'm fairly proud with myself I think!!!!

That bag was from the first week's market and these tee shirts were also from the first weeks I got these two Hello Kitty Tee shirts for 20 lira (£7)!!! I think I must have like 8 Hello Kitty tee shirts now I think!!! Hee hee I really do love Hello Kitty!!! They're lovely!!!!! And comfy and cheap as well which makes them all the better!!!!!!

Then in the second week I got a new Mulberry! So I already have a brown one and now I have a red one!!! I have so many red clothes I thought I did desperately need a decent big red handbag so here it is!!! I think I paid a little more for this than I did for the pink one cause the guy was being really annoying and wouldn't let me go below a certain price despite me wandering off!!!!! But yes the similar price was okay and I think it should last me just like my last one has!!!!!

Okay so here's some Raki I bought, I've always wanted to try Turkish Raki cause apparently it's anissed-ey so I'm assuming it'll be like Sambuca!!!! But yeah I still haven't tried any yet cause I'm saving it for a special occasion!!! I also got a smaller bottle for Hanny as her holiday present and I'm gonna get to give her it on Saturday!!! Hopefully she'll like it!!! As you probably guess though this is not from the market and this is from the supermarket!!!! I accidentally put it in with the market stuff!!!! Now back to the market stuff!!!!

So I collect these little bejewelled animals!!! They open up in half as well! You can kinda see the split if you look at the bird's chest!!! Also you can't really see the jewels from this angle either which is annoying, youcan see a few on it's head but they run all the way down it's back and make it look super cute and sparkly!!!!

And to go with the parrot I got a peacock!!!! So now I have 6 of these little animals!!! They make a lovely little collection now I think!!! I'm gonna get some more next year as well I think!!! Probably an elephant and an owl!!!! So far now I have a frog, a sea horse, a crocodile, a lizard, a parrot and a pea cock!!!! Squee so sparkly!!!!!

And the final thing I got from the market is this tea towel!!! Hee hee I know it doesn't look much but I bought it for going to uni so for me it's quite exciting cause it's another thing for my bottom drawer!!!! I still need much more things for my bottom drawer though!!! Like pink saucepans!!! I am desperate for some pink saucepans!!!!!!!! But yes here's my little tea towel with all the big sites of Turkey on!!!!!

And next are the 4 items from Trendy!!!! Okay so here is the item which pained me the most to buy!!!! These shorts are the most expensive pair of shorts I have ever bought I worked out they cost £44 in English money and I really ummed and aahed about buying them! but the fact I have been killing for a pair of black shorts with gold detailing on them for the past 2 years and have seen nothing like them in England!!! If i thought I could have got these shorts in England or something I would have left them and tried to buy them in England!!! But I thought I wouldn't be able to find anything like them so I bought them!!! I've already worn them 3 times now so I certainly think I'm gonna be getting my wear out of them!!! They're by a brand called "AMN JEANS, Madness National" So I'm gonna see if maybe they deliver to the UK cause they might have some other hot stuff!!!!

So the next item is by that brand I was going on about earlier Kikiriki!!!! It's a really cute corset style top but made girly with the floral print and black frills!!! I think this top will be really useful cause it can do cute or sexy, casual or smart all depending on what you team it with!!! I love versatile clothing like this so no doubt you'll see me wearing it some time soon!!!!

The other thing I bought that's Kikiriki is this skirt!!! I have actually been looking for a skirt like this for aaaages as well (like I said this shop does perfect me things!) and this skirt is just a absolute dream for me!!!! It's got frills, lace and animal print!!! It will work with a lot of my wardrobe as well cause it's brown and black!!! I envisage getting a lot of wear from this as well!!! I already have plans to wear it for my night out on Saturday!!!!!

The final thing I bought from trendy is this little black tee with a bling slogan on it!!! It's really great for casual but still has that glam feel I love especially cause of the slogan it has "don't just stay, stay glam!" How awesome!!!!! This tee shirt is by a brand called VDP club again I'm gonna try and search their website cause whilst I was in the shop there were loads of other tee shirts by this brand that I fell in love with but they were all really pricey cause they had more bling on whereas this one was only about £15! But yes I want to see if I can get some more of their stuff when I've done some extra shifts with work!!!!

So yep!!! That's the end of the Turkey post!!!! I hope you've enjoyed the sum up of my holiday!!! I hope you haven't got too bored either!!! I was aware there are a tonne of pictures!!! I did try and cut down as much as possible but I'm not really sure I managed too well! Ah well hopefully you made it to the end of this post and if you did! Woooo Thankyou!!!! I'm gonna try and get the Holiday Part 2 post up as soon as possible so this doesn't feel too disjointed but it took literally hours to get these posts up so the only promise I can try to make is before Sunday!!!! I will try my absolute best to get as much done tonight as possible though!!!!! Anyway much love!!!!!

*KISS KISS*
