Ranger Promise

Heyaaaa!!!!

Well a lot's happened recently!!! I've turned 18!!! That was really very exciting indeed!!! But I was hoping to have the professional photographs before I did a blog post on it! Unfortunately the photographer lady hasn't finished with them yet so you'll all just have to wait for that!!! Again I am sending of the utmost apologies to you all!!!!!!!

But on with the other stuff anyway I suppose!!!! So during the holidays I finally got around to making my ranger promise! For people who do not know what rangers are we are like older Guides! Guides technically finishes at 14, and then from 14 to 26 you are classes as a ranger!!!! So I joined rangers at 14! But have no finally got around to making my promise!!! Which I decided to make at Skipton Castle!!! I even wore a 1950s guiding uniform to make it!!!

Here are the pics!!!!

Not the most flattering of pics I must conclude!!!!! But still! Brings back good memories!!!! We walked all the way round Skipton castle and it was all pretty-ful and stuff! I really should have taken some pictures of it but me being me I was just a teensy weensy bit ditzy and forgot! Instead I only got the ones Mary took of me making my promise which you have seen above!!!

For those of you who don't know what the ranger promise is it's basically the guiding one with an added clause at the end!

For those of you who don't even know what the Guide one is it goes:

"I promise that I will love my God,

Serve my Queen and my country,

Help other people,
And keep the Guide law"

That added clause for rangers is "And what is your new duty as a ranger" to which you're supposed to reply "to aid the community"

So yes!!! I am now a fully fledged member of rangers with an official ranger badge!!!!

Am very very pleased with the new badge!!!! As we so often say in rangers "badges are gurdddddddd!" I think we might just have a slight badge addiction!!!! But I'm sure it's a purely healthy one!!! Am also very excited cause now once I finish my Look Wider Award I can do my Queen's Guide which is pretty darn awesome!

Anyways! That was just a very quick littlie post just to fill you in before these photos are ready!!! I might do a bonfire night one if the pics haven't arrived before Friday!!!

Thankyou for readinggggg!!!

So here's just some photos and things i've been meaning to bob up for a while!!! Lina and I went to the park after work one day and took some pics, and then I have some from Jie Jie's fantastic 18th at which I had such a good time at! I'm sorry my corset in it is so loose only I had some tummy sick so I had to unlace which was not good!!!! But in addition to this there are also the boots i bought of the rakuten shop Yumetenbo - here's the link -

http://www.rakuten.ne.jp/gold/dreamv/

the boots are from the princess section although to be honest i think they belong more in the glamorous section seeing as i wouldn't really class them as strictly hime gyaru!!!! But anyway! Only £45 for the boots, p+p, and import tax AND they got here within 10 days! Isn't that crazy, crossing two oceans two continents and they still get here in 10 days! So happy with them! Ooooh and they're comfy too!!!

But anyway yes! ALSO A BIG THANKYOU TO EVERYONE WHO GOT ME TO 1000 VIEWS!!!! IT MEANS SUCH AN AWFUL LOT TO ME!!!!!! THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU!!!!! I'M SENDING YOU ALL MASSIVE HUGS SO THANKYOU!!!!

Thanks for taking a peek at the pics then! The next post shall be a proper post!!!

Owl City 2011

So here's some of the pics from Owl City when we went to see his new All Things Bright and Beautiful Tour!!!! It was very good cause me and Lina new all the lyrics but there were some girls there who we like to refer to as "firefly girls" fireflies is Owl City's crappest song and these are girls who literally only know the lyrics to that one song cause it got to number one!!! But yeah cause we showed them up by knowing the lyrics to all of his new songs!!! When he sang Deer in the Headlights me and Lina nearly disintergrated with excitement!!!

So yes supporting Owl City was Unicorn Kid who was BRILLIANT!!! Like when he came on stage with his lion hat on me and Lina were like oh god is he gonna be good or bad!!! But then it turned out he was brilliantly awesome!!! Like literally awesome!!! And I swear some of his songs should be theme tunes to my life honestly!!! So yeah and he just gave off such a good atmosphere and everyone was all jumpy and dancey and it was so good!!! Like manic electro hyper-ness!!! Loved it!!!

So this is what I wore! Unfortunately I look rather disheveled in this pic as this is after it and I had taken myboxer boots off by this point which is annoying cause they looked proper good with the outfit! I had had a major stress before cause I wanted to wear neon and carry on my now tradition of wearing neon for Owl City but i managed to find stuff in the end so I was happy! But yeah sorry about my dishevelled state and bathroom background!!! SORRYYYYY

So here's one of me showing my hair and make up! And also with my brilliant teddy bag!!! This bag became very topical in the English lesson I had before Owl City as we're studying Brideshead Revisited in which Sebastien a character within it who is 19 years old carries round a teddy bear named Aloysius! We have all decided I need a straight version of Sebastien and my class have promised to keep their eyes peeled for me!!! But yes I hope you all approve of how I look!!!

So when Lina took the picture of me with the teddy bag she instantly wanted onewith Teddy herself so here's Lina and a close up of how she looked!!! Teddy and Fascinator!!! He Lina Bear does love her fascinators and I can't really say I blame her! She always looks so pretty with them!!!!

So here's my favouritest ring ever!!! This is my 6% Doki Doki ring that I love to pieces!!!! Literally adore it! It's so big and brash and sprakly and cyber and just wow!!! Worth every penny! Every penny I say!!! For those of you who can't read it it translates as "CYBER"

So after the whole thing was over we went to but some Unicorn Kid CDs and get them signed (we'd bought Owl City tee shirts before hand!) I did get a pic with Unicorn Kid as well but it came out blurry so here's the one of Lina Bear with him!!!!! We had such good fun!!!!

And here's a couple of cam whorey ones from us! What is that girl in the background doing eh??? Oh look at my cute Winnie the Pooh tattoo on my arm as well! Pretty ne! God how pale do I look next to Lina Bear in this pic!!!

So that was our night! It was awful fun! All I can say is - BRING ON OWL CITY 2012!!!!!

Manchester before school with Yan Yan Chan!

Hello everyone!!! On the Monday before school started I went shopping with Yan Yan Chan for some retail therapy and picking up necessary objects!!! So we were supposed to be getting the 11 am train, however me being a bimbo i left my purse at home and so mom had to drive back and get me my purse before we could set off so instead we ended up getting the later train which was like total pack out!!!! But eventually we finally got in!

And here's what I was wearing for the said shopping trip!!! Bright pink tee-shirt new from Turkey, my black little frilly school sorts, pink frilly over the knee socks, and some pink satin heels with some black crystals on!!!! Oh and the pink hair bow of course!!!!!

Hee hee and here's the back of the top which I just loved!!!! It's all pretty and sparkly and lacey and butterfly-ey!!!! It's a pity of the front of the top doesn't have any detailing on! But at least the back makes up for this fact!!!

Okay so this is my hair and make up at the end of the day!!! Unfortunately my hair had kinda de-volumised and my make up had faded lots and lots by this point *pouts* anyone who has me on bbm can see a shot of me in the morning where I look better-er! I had white and hot pink make up with eyelashes white nose stripe and in the morning I did have uber pale pink lips!!! I was trying to channel a Banba look although now the make up's faded it doesn't really look that Banba anymore. For those of you who have led a sheltered life and do not know what banba is it's a cross between the two words barbie and manba. So you take manba style tone down the tan (ha only a bit though) and don't do the whole droopy eye extreme-ness but still do lots of the white make up!!!! I think it's really pretty andof course they wear very barbie-esque clothes which I think I did actually manage that day!!!!

So when we got in we had to get Yan Yan's dress for my birthday party!!! Which will be avintage themed party!!! So she got a white circle dress with a dark pink rose print on!!! It's lovely although the model in this picture looks horridious and she isn't even wearing a crinoline with the dress!!!! Totally crazy!!!

After that we then had to get some pretty menial things for me starting with a brown waist cinching belt from Primark for £2 which I will use with that dress I bought after my exam results!!! And team with these brown chunky heels I have!

Next were two school jackets! Both from Primark! This one's a very sculpted one in pink with a nipped in waist and like cute bits on that was £22

And then this black one is almost quite Chanel-ish I think with 3/4 sleeves and only like a little hook and eye at the top with quite a thick material so it's warm!!! And this one was only £17!!!

Next we bobbed over to China Town and I got a new hello kitty cutlery set and pen for school and then this amaaaazing hello kitty jelly mould just as a little random extra that I thought would be amazing!!! And yeah hee hee hello kitty jelly I mean like how cute would that look!!!

Then we went BACK to Affleck's palace and nipped up to the top floor where a new little shop has opened up where this guy blings clothing and so seeing as I needed a new denim mini I bought this one with crystals and animal print for only £12!!!! Total bargain I feel!!!

Now for the sup exciting purchases!!!! THE NEW SWAROVSKI CRYSTAL PHONE CASE!!!! So I had no idea what the lady was giving me but she's obviously used my love of hello kitty and pink sparkly hair bows and done that! And OMG it is so super sparkly and pretty!!!! It totally appeals to my inner magpie!!!!! Here are two pics, the first with flash and the second with out!!!! SOOOO PURTY!!!!

And then the final most amazing piece of the day!!! MY VIRGIN MARY DRES!!!! It's short and frilly and bows and a gorgeous print!!! Honest I just love this dress!!!! I think it's beautiful and amazing!!!! I think with some over the knee socks and heels with my hair in high curly pigtails I think it'll look brilliant!!!

And here's a final pick of Yan Yan and I on the bus home afterwards taken ha by Hannah's boyfriend who we bumped into at the bus stop on his way to his anniversary meal with Hannah!!! How sweet ne!!!

So my new hair cut (which I've just had today! First one in a year and 9 months!) and Anna's 18th birthday party will be up next! Toodle pip everyone!!!

London

Yay!!! So finally blogger has permitted me to upload pictures!!! I have been trying for like the past 4 days and for the past 4 days nada, zip, big fat zero!!! I was incredibly cross I tell you! But hurrah it's now working!!! So here's a post showing my fave things from the London trip!!!

First stop of the day was eating at Aji noodle bar!!! They do the most yummy Miso soup with chicken and literally the bowl is huuuuuuuge I mean literally massive and it's only £7!!! Such good value for money!!!!

Then we went to Fortnum Masons, I bought these yummy little sugar fondant things that were absolutely delish!!! I got one in pink, one in white and one in yellow!!! They certainly appealed to my sweet tooth!!! I also purchased two very special items which will be revealed at my party and that I'm sure everyone would think was awesome!!!

And then after that I went to my ABSOLUTE favourite place in London and nothing will ever change that! It's the Natural History Museum!!! It is the most gorgeous place in the whole of London, well in my opinion anyway! And every time I go there are certain things I must see!!! I always view these things in reverse favourite order.

So I start with Great Auk the Great Auk is an extinct flightless bird that was killed off by Victorian specimen collectors. Although it lived waaaay up North where it was cold near penguins, however they were more closely related to Puffins actually which you can kinda see when you look at their bill!!! But yeah it's a cute little birdie!!!!

Next up is the Humming Bird Cabinet! This is from a Victorian Curiosity type museum, there must be well over 300 hummingbirds in it, covering like a tonne of different species!!! Here's a picture of the whole case! Unfortunately it's blurry cause I had to snap the pic really quickly before someone walked past in front of it!!! It's about 2/2 and a half metres across and is beautifully stunning!

Here's a shot that shows the case in more detail although from a side angle! Here you can really see the scope of the hummingbirds they have!

Here's probably a shot that I supposes emphasises the more cruel aspect of this specimen, here you can see a tiny little toy nest almost and iinside it, although it's very difficult to make out because of their size, there are some baby hummingbirds. It is quite awful to think someone's killed and collected all these baby hummingbirds just for some rich Victorian. But then at the same it is a truly beautiful and breathtaking display!

My final shot of the humming bird case is one of my favourite hummingbirds inside it. It's one of the more brightly coloured hummingbirds as many have faded over the years unlike this one!!! The way it changes from that purplish blue to that bright green is just gorgeous!!!! If I find something even remotely similar to this in an antiques shop I am buying it because it is truly gorgeous!!!!

Now after that more serious note here's something highly amusing! This little bundle of fluff and bones below it the Lesser Egyptian Jerboa, or as I like to call it, The Giraffe Mouse!!! It lives in burrows in the desert and is just one of the oddest little animals I have ever seen!!!! It's rather amusing indeed!!!

And here is Isabel's absolute favourite exhibit in the whole of the museum - THE DINOSAURS!!! Anyone who knew me when I was about 7 knew I was OBSESSED with dinosaurs!!! I even wanted to be a paleantologist, well although that dream has subsided I am still a major dinosaur geek although keep it slightly quieter now, but I still have 5 big heavy old school dinosaur books, the entire Walking With Dinosaurs collection, plus dinosaur models, and dinosaur board games because they are COOL!!!

Unfortunately this exhibit does not have a model of my favourite dinosaur which is the Koolasuchus, simply because it is cool! It's like a giant engorged killer tadpole!!! I know!!! A giant engorged killer tadpole!!!! But yes I suppose there's no point going on about something you guys can't see! So on with pics!

Below we see the cannibalistic Coelophysus! You can see a baby coelophysus in it's tummy - well I say that. You're SUPPOSED to see a baby coelophysus in its tummy, but all you see are some smaller bones, but I promise you that is a baby one, these dinosaurs are commonly thought of as some of the first swift moving predators as they date back from the Triassic (the first of the three dinosaur eras)

Here's an iguanadon, These are actually quite ugly daft animals that really don't hold any appeal to me other than the name which I rather like, I also don't really like them cause they're herbivores, I much prefer carnivores, and not like scavenger carnivores I mean proper predators!

So here is a REAL dinosaur!!! Allosaurus!!!! This is an awesome predator, smaller than a T-Red but super agile and very clever!!! This would seriously be one scary animal to meet in a dark alley way!!!! I also really loved the Walking With Dinosaurs program based on Big Al (the name of one particular skeleton of a complete juvenile male allosaurus)'s life and early death! It's quite sad in the end.

And another dangerous preditor, now these are raptors, however I think the particular ones the Natural History Museum modelled these animatronic dinos on were a pair of less known Oviraptor skeletons as opposed to the more commonly know Velociraptor, or even the Utaraptor. But they still look darn awesome!!!

And then here's the bit everyone queues for - THE T-REX - well as I've said before this is not my fave dinosaur (Koolasuchus and Allosaurus are) but this is still pretty darn cool. Unfortunately however I did not get a pic or video of the T-Rex model because, I'm embarrassed to admit, I have to kinda run past its head! I know that sounds silly but honestly I just have visions of it suddenly becoming alive and then who's right in it's scent like and lookig rather eat-able, me, so yeah the vid is from the side! But you can still see how cool it is!!!

After that I nipped into the gift shop and bought these cute dinosaur cookie cutters in preparation for my birthday party!!! They're very adorabubble!!! There's stegosaurus (top left), triceratops (middle left), diplodochus (bottom left) and unidentifiable dinosaur in top right!!! But yeah they're so brilliant!!!!

Then the next day we went off to Oxford I didn't really get many pics except this one of the Bodleian library!!! Omg inside it is liek reading heaven!!! THERE WERE JUST SOOOO MANY BOOKS! It was like my heaven ha!!!! But yes here's the outside of part of it!

Then we went to this shop called Pylones and we got a cat nail scrubber, a squid whisk, and Des got me this iPod ear phone splitter! I have needed one of these for ages and so am glad to finally have one at last! And such a pretty one as well!!!

So yes that was my trip to London last week and a half ago now blogger has FINALLY let me update it!!! This was a slightly geeky, less looks orientated wise, but I hope you still enjoyed it just as much!!!
