Guide Summer Camp 2012

Hello world!!! As everyone knows I am a ranger, which is part of the Girl Guiding movement!!!! And twice a year our unit goes on camp to Robin Hole! Hee hee and so this week from Monday to Wednesday we were staying at Robin Hole!!! Hee hee we arrived at 10! Before even our leaders had arrived!!! It was cold and we were stood out on the porch shivering brrr!!!! Look at Jess all hood up and everything!!!!!

Also it looked like when someone had arrived they'd left the gate open!!! (Look at the cute little engraved badges)!!!

And so we had a tonne of sheep that did not belong in here wandering about the camp site happy as larry!!! We ended up (and by we I kinda mean kirtsy and gaynor, seeing as us young ones are lazy, so not really we) chasing all the sheep out of the field before we could set up camp!!!!

But finally leaders arrives and camp was set up!!!! Hee hee we proceeded to take over 3 bottom bunks in about the same ammount of minutes!!!! Ha by the end of the three days that bottom bunk was COVERED in clothing and the floor as well!!! Who'd have thought three rangers could have made such an awful mess in 3 days!!!!!

So once we'd all got organised we got about making lunch and just getting everything set up! To say we were doing indoor camping there was such an awful lot of things to do before we could get all ready for when Bobby arrived!!! Bobby comes every year as part of our activities to come and do crafts with us!!!! So here is our crafting table (we have one table set up for crafting and one table set up for eating), once Bobby had arrived and set up all the stuff!!!!!

Usually we make things like baubles and Christmas tree decorations at Christmas but because it's Summer we had a choice to make Suffolk puffs (both the round kind we made this year, and a new star shaped kind), brooches, and scissors cases!!!! I decided, seeing as I already know how to make the round Suffolk puffs that I would try one of the star shaped one!!! I wasn't that bothered about making a brooch cause I don't wear them, and a scissors case would be useless to me - but hair accessories!!! Now there's always room in my life, and love in my heart for new hair accesories!!! So here's stage one of making a Suffolk puff!!! Sowing all the little petals up! I might do a tutorial one time if I'm bored!!!!

And here's Lina Bear sowing away!!! She decided she'd start out by doing a round Suffolk puff!!!!

And here's Jess working ona brooch she was doing for her mum, I think Kirsty and Mary were both doing scissors cases although I'm a little unsure and can't quite remember ooops!!!!

So once your petals were altogether they look something like this!!!! I know right it looks a total mess!!!! But this is where we came up with an awesome motto that we think the craftin world should totally adopt "Felt hides a multitude of sins!" Everyone repeat after me "Felt hides a multitude of sins!" This!!!! Hee hee I love love love it!!! When I have more time on my hands I'm going to make some more!!! I absolutely love needle craft I find it so therapeutic!!!!! I know it might seem old fashioned and stuff, but honestly I love going to Guide camp where I can just go and sit around and do crafts!!!!! Gets you out of the rat race for deffo!!!

Hee hee once Lina had finished her round Suffolk Puff she tried a star one! Ha it looks rather sorry for itself doesn't it!!!!! He poor little petals are all wonky and I know we said felt hides a multitude of sins, but only if it's sown on right ha!!! Poor little thing!!! Luckily after this photo Bobby managed to save it and then Lina bear got the hang of making them a bit better!!!!!

And the black thing there is Jess' brooch!!! When she got it all opened out and everything it did look exactly like the pink brooch bobby made!!! In the end I was quite sad I didn't make one of the brooches cause they do look rather pretty and it would have been an interesting skill to learn, but I just never would have worn one so it would just be more clutter in my room!!!!!!

Here's the results of my day's sowing!!! Two round Suffolk puffs!!! One really super cute pink bow, which I think could almost look like it's from Liz Liza and will match loads in my wardrobe!!! And two matching star shaped Suffolk puffs!!! They look really cute for plaits or pigtails!!!!!

Earlier on in the day we'd made pizza and so here is the fruits of our labours!!!! It was actually really yummy but it was such a large pizza!!!!! Looking at it now I mega want some!!! And you see that mug on the right hand side!!! That's the same mug I always use at Robin Hole!!!! I was gonna get a picture of it but I forgots sorry!!!! It's a really cool vintage girl guide mug! There's a collection, not at Robin Hole, but in general with a Brownie one and a Ranger one!!!!

Then we went outside aand started to build up our campfire!!! I only got a picture of it when it was small!!1 We had to start small and I shall explain why in but a moment!!!!!

And here's the whole reason we make the campfire is for ... SMORES!!!! Now can I just say!!! Smores are gorgeous! They are heaven in a biscuit, absolute mouthgasm and just totally delicious it's a biscuit, then with chocolate, then you melt a marshmallow and smoosh it in between that and another biscuit!!!!!

And here's me with my smore!!! It's so delicious!!! Seeing the pictures makes me want some now!!! Please everyone! If you've never tried smores you really should do! They're delicious!!!!

The next day then we took a trip into Ilkley!!! We walked ALL THE WAY across the moores from our campsite in Burley in Wharfdale it always takes us a full hour to do the walk cause like 2/3rds of it is uphill!!!! It's such a total killer!!! When we got there we had instructions to find entertainment for a fiver from a charity shop, but we kinda decided to ignore the charity shop bit cause all that's in charity shops is clothes! And before you say we could have bought a board game, board games and decks of cards were banned!!!!

Instead we went to Boyes and bought our stuff from their!!!! We bought a load of craft-ey stuff as well and we also bought Jess her first cross stitch if you look above!!!! She was doing a cute little child's doggie! Everyone has to start somewhere!!!!! Lina bear got one as well!!! A little care bear one bless!!!!!

We were in Ilkley from like 11 till 4 so after we were done in Boyes which was by like 12:30 ish we were like "hungryyyyyyy" and so we went to La Stazione and had some gorgeously yummy spaghetti bolognaise!!!! For only £5.95 a plate as well and you got loads!!! Honestly I totally recommend this place to anyone!!!! So we were in there for like 4 horus and we must have looked really weird cause we were all three of us just sat cross stitching away!!!! Hee hee here's me working on my bitch of a Jemima Puddleduck cross stitch!!! This thing has literally sapped hours from me grrrrr!!!! Also hee hee you can see I'm wearing one of my new Desigual dresses hee hee!!!!!

At about 3 o'clock Zell came and joined us cause she has like nothing to do for a lot of the time!!! I only got one photo of her cause she doesn't like photos but then it came out blurry *pouts* but I decided to put it up anyway!!!! You can still she's all smiley smiley happy happy!!! It was great to have a catch up!!! And also to see someone who wasn't on camp hee hee!!!!!! Honestly being on camp is like being in rehab cause like the rest of the world just disappears and you're sat there crafting away hee hee!!! After this though we drove straight back to camp!!!!

And then came the evening's entertainment!!!! Jess' entertainment for a fiver was ... Cornflake buns!!!! They were super yummy to make and I haven't made them since I was like 5!!! I forgot they were tasty!!!! Might have to try them again some time ne!!!!!!

Then after our cornflake buns were setting in the fridge we moved on to my entertainment!!! I decided everyone needed more sparkle in their life so we did blinging!!!! First everyone got a little plain cardboard box and we lined them with blue (cause we're guides) crepe paper!!!!!

Then came the fun stage where I got everyone to bling their boxes!!! I was very proud of them seeing as the only other person there who blings is Lina so I think everyone else did really well!!!! Here are our finished boxes!!!!!!

After that we did Lina Bear's entertainment which was just absolutely mad!!!! I mean so mental I didn't even have time to get pictures we were decorating a globe but then had to keep swapping teams and we all ended up COVERED in craft glue and in fits of giggles!!!! It was fun though! After that we went to bed because we had to get up super early in the morning to drop camp!! I know technically we didn't have any tents to drop but still and we were all packed up and ready to leave by the time Lina's dad came to pick us up!!!

Night Out Avec Hanny

Hello world!!!! So here is the 3rd of today's 4 promised blog posts!!!! This is about last Saturday when me and Hanny went out for a night out!!!! Sorry it's a bit late! I've been very disorganised with my blogging as obviously I haven't had a day to myself till today! This really was the first available oppetunity!!! So it was my first week back at work bleurgh!!! And we came back looking a right state!!! Here's me in some REALLY random room wear before we started getting all dolled up and prettied up!!! I too one so I could see how different I look before and after! And then thought I'd show all you guys!!! Sorry my rooms so messy guys by the way! I know it's always messy, but still!

So we started getting ready by doing our hair!!! For Hannah that involved dying her hair!!! It was rather fun!!!! I love getting to dye Hannah's hair! She always picks such lovely bright colours and I'm the one who gets to do it! Squee!!! I did end up with purple dye on my bed though cause I managed to flick and fling the brush up in the air!!!! I've still no idea how it happened!!! All of a sudden it was just there in the air!!! We still managed to get Hanny's hair done though!!! So all's well!!!

Sorting my hair out should have been a lot simpler cause technically I was just doing mine curly! However it wasn't 'just' curly!!! I was copying a tutorial done by Sui Princess who is one of my fave bloggers!!! She's an awesome gaijin hime gyaru! Like truly amazing!!! I wish I could pull it off as well as she does!!!! But yes! So I was copying her tutorial cause I always envy her hair, make and clothes!!!!  

I don't think I separated my curls out enough *cries*, but here's me and Hanny together after we'd spent FIVE HOURS getting ready!!! Hee hee we really are the stereotypical girls taking ages to get ready!!!!! All hair spray and everything in our bedroom!!!!

So here's my outfit, I think Hanny's and mine is quite similar in a way,like we both had leotards and frilly skirts and black heels and stuff but she does it more goth-ey whereas I do it more girlie frilly!!!! We complement each other really well!!!!

And here's a close up of my make up I did for the evening!!! Okay everyone! Can I have a whole minute here for show-ey off-ey self smugness??? I'M NOT WEARING ANY FOUNDATION!!!! I feel so proud of myself!!!! A) it's a big deal because I get self concious when I don't wear foundation and B) my skin actually looks like it's got foundation on so it's all even and makes me look happy!!!! For my eye make up I also went quite light again, I went for a dark brown hime gyaru kinda make up, like the kind you'd find for evening in Koakuma Ageha, I think this pose officially shows I've mastered the Little Devil Butterfly look (what Koakuma Ageha translates to), people often say my lips and tongue are some of my best features so I thought I'd try and emphasise them in this shot! I think it worked well enough so that I set it as my dp on fb!

And here's Hanny's look, she's gone for here traditional black eye liner with lashes and a dark red lip!!! Typical Hannah style!!! Also matches her lovely new purple-ed hair, curtesy of moi!!!!

So I don't know if many of you know, but Hanny and I are OBSESSED with Lady Gaga!!!!! So obsessed we're going to go and see her in September!!!! And ALWAYS whilst we're getting ready for a night out we play all the Lady Gaga songs on the Virgin Media Music Player!!!! Hee hee on Edge of Glory Hanny and I always end up doing Air Saxophone so this explains the really odd and unattractive poses!!!! Hee hee at least this is in private!!! We've been known to be wandering along a street and all of a sudden one of blurt out "AIR SAXOPHONE!" and suddenly both of us will start looking like this .. no wonder some people think we're odd!!! Ah well! We have fun at least!!!!

Also whilst we were getting ready we had the oppertunity to try the new Limited Edition Sourz!!! I would like to take this oppertunity to make a formal complaint!!!! I hate it when drinks and food companies bring out limited edition stuff that tastes nice! Cause like you sample some and then you're like "omg that's delicious", so you're like "oooh this would be the kinda thing I'd buy on a regular basis!" BUT you can't!!! Cause it's limited edition! So then you're faced with a dilemma! Do you bulk buy to ensure you always have some???? Or do you just leave it and then risk missing out on something that could be totally yummy!!! As I said! It's so yummy!!! And this flavour really is!!! It's officially the most lush of all the sourz flavours and I want it and love it!!!!! But yes! That really wasn't a very good rant! Sorry I'm too tired to rant properly!!!! But yeah so we had some of that anyway whilst we were getting ready!!!!

So at about 10 ish we hopped on a bus to town, and got some mega disapproving looks from the bus driver it was that kinda "Eurgh giggly girls on my bus on a Saturday night AGAIN!" look which just made us giggle even more!!!! But we got into town and then hopped off and headed up to Che Bar!!!! Hee hee so here's a pic of Hannah posing and looking absolutely scrumdiddleyumpscious!!!

Then she got one of me dancing!!!! Hee hee I was up on one of the little platforms and I mega love this!!!! Hannah says I'm a really good dancer and for once I actually believe a complement! My dancing might look highly stylised and choreographed but at least it is actually rather good!!!! Hee hee and Hannah says I have rather lovely hand movements when I'm dancing I don't know about that but I'd like to hope all the ballet's paid off and helped! Although you can't really see my arms cause of my arm warmers in this one! We'd only just got in from outside and so I was still a little chilled! They do actually make a difference believe it or not!!!!

Hee hee and this is just a random cam whore I insirted in for good measure!!!!! We spent literally the whole night dancing apart from when we were ordering drinks or cam whoring!!!!

After that we moved onto Tequila, they had this really cool sign up there that I totally think should be a life motto "Always take life ... with a pinch of salt... a slice of lime ... and a shot of Tequila!" How brilliant is that!!! I'm sorry the bottom line is obscured by a snogging couple I probably could have waited until a moment when people were more out of the way, but to be honest I couldn't be bothered cause we wanted to get back to dancing!!!!!

Hee hee here's one of Hannah cam whoring, although I could pretend it's her deciding what time we stayed out till!!!!! Lordie look at that guy in the back ground! He's staring right into my camera bleurgh!!!! He might've been weird but we did meet a really cool Latvian guy who we chatted to whilst he and Hannah were being disgustingly icky and smoking!!! In the end we decided to stay out till like 3:30/4ish!!!

But before we ordered the taxi Hannah was totally digustingly icky and went and got some grosse take away cheesey chips!!!! I mean ewwwww how can you eat at 3 am in the morning!! Just ewww especially greasy take away food!!!! And then she got mayo on my skirt *huff* honestly next time we go out she's allowed some plain sliced bread and that's it so she doesn't ick me out!!!! We did eventually get home though!!!! Look what a state my hair looks like after 6 hours out dancing!!!!!! Dearie me!!!! My make up held up pretty well though which made me happy!!!!!

I'm so greedy though!!! Even though I ended up so super tired the next day I already greedily can't wait until my next night out!!! I need to get an outfit planned squee!!!!!! It was bad I was so tired though cause I had to get packing for camp!!!! Which consequently is my next post!!! Much Love

Cam Whoring with Haz,Pizza Hut with Guides, Kaffeeklatch!!!!

Hey everyone!!!! How's your weekend been??? Hopefully you've all had fun!!! Hee hee I did! ended up going on a good night out with my friend!!! I was gonna include that in this post but decided that might make it too long so it's gonna get a post all of it's own, although I might have to do that when I get back from Guide camp cause I'm off to their today!!!!!

So on Thursday, Haz and I decided that we should very much like to meet up to go ice skating!!!! So here I am all made up and ready!!! I'm glad to be back to wearing my false eye lashes!!! I've missed them! Although I've lost a bit of my technique for applying them oops!!! Ah well I'm sure I'll get it back!!! I was feeling super lazy so I just left my hair in plaits! Hopefully no one minds!!!!

So from looking at other blogs they all put where their outfits are from so I've decided I should stop being lazy and do it too! So here goes

The original plan was to wear bare legs and some little black high heels instead but I looked out of the window that morning and it was super grey looking!!!! And I thought although you do warm up at the ice rink it can still be fairly chilly!!!! So instead I wore the tights and the boots! Little did I know though that even though the weather looked grey it was actually super warm!!! So I ended up regretting my decision!!!!!!

So we got into town, walked all the way up to the Ice Rink only to find that that particular day it was closed for some really stupid reason!!! We were like "what on earth no fair!" Out plans for the day had been scuppered!!!! So we kinda meandered round for a lot of the day wondering what on earth to do! We thought we'd go see a film, but then there was nothing on that we actually wanted to see, so then we went shopping, but neither of us really spent any money, then we went and enquired about coaches to London, before finally deciding we'd do some cam whoring!!!! Hee hee the cam whoring was super mega fun!!!

Hee hee here's me all shocked-ful!!!!!!

Hee hee and finally one of Haz where she doesn't look confused!!!! The sun kept coming out that day and so whenever we tried to get a pic Haz kept getting the sun in her eyes and so looked confused!!! Ha I cam whore so much I'm used to getting blinded by flash and sunlight and such so it doesn't even really affect me anymore!!! Maybe that's a bad thing!!! Ooops!!!

Hee hee despite it being sunny a strange purple man is trying to steal my awesome red and yellow umbrella!!! Stupid purple man!!!!!!

Haz displaying her gymnastic ability here!!! Ha this is about as flexible as Haz and I get, you can tell we weren't really too keen on paying attention during dear Mrs Brabbins' gym lessons ha "Zip up and hollow girls!"! I still remember the horrific moment she announced to the whole class "clench whilst you pee girls!!!!" Can't believe a teacher said that!!!!!

So that was the last one from the night out before I hobbled home in my boots!!!! Then only an hour later I was back in town for Pizza Hut with Guides!!!!! Hee hee so here is my cheese-less Pizza!!!!! Yummy yummy yummy scrummy!!!

And here's kinda one of the whole table but it's a bit blurry!!!! Ooops!!! Sorry everyone!!!!! There were .... 8 of us there that night so it was quite good fun!!!!! Hee hee we ended up discussing why you would never EVER buy a second hand copy of "Fifty Shades of Grey"!!!! Ha and if you don't get why then just think about it for a second!!!!! Then we chatted about plans for Summer camp and such what cause we've neen looking forward to it for aaaaages!!!!! We actually finished a lot earlier than we usually do because none of us had dessert! It was kinda good though in a way cause actually I was really tired and my feet hurted and I wanted back in bed!!! So it all worked out rather well!!!

I also wantedto get an early night cause I was off out again on the next day!!! Honestly it feels like I'm on my feet non stop!!!! So sleepy making!!!!! So the next in absolute contrast I decided to go for a way more demure outfit!!!!!

Not a good photo to be honest cause of my dweeby smile but it shows my dress off just right! I do adore the shape of this dress!!! It's so classy I think if this weren't leopard print it might be good for interviews!!!!!! So yes we went for coffee as one does!!!

We had to have a major catch up cause Jess has been having a rather mercurial time with relationships and stuff!!!!!! But before we got onto nattering anything about that Lina managed to spill her really confuzzling order all over her trousers! And so of course she promptly stripped off in the middle of Starbucks!!! We really do have no shame!!! To be honest though when she was sat there in just her knickers with her trousers drying over her legs it looks like she's just wearing a really cool skirt!!! Hee hee she looks cute like this I think!!!!

And here's one of Jess once we moved outside cause we were like "oooh let's get Starbucks!" so we went inside and sat down and everything but then actually it was really super cold!!! So we saw it was sunny outside and thought "oooh it might be warmer outside", turned out actually it wasn't it was just as cold brrrrr I hate the cold!!! But look! Jess was in leopared print as well!!!! So t'wasn't just me!!! In the end we endedup relocating to D-Bar cause that was actually warm!!! We were all really excited for the Olympics opening ceremony and then we saw Hannah walking by as well! Who  I hadn't seen in like 3 weeks so gave her a massive hug! Honestly being on holiday made me miss everyone so so much!!!!!

Really did miss everyone although I've been so busy catching up with everyone recently it's made me super tired!!!!!!!! Will try and get another post up today that way I'm not clagging up fb with my blogpost links! Hopefully no one minds reading multiple posts!!! Much Love!!!
